Four Square

W.A.L.T... explore and use a scale to work out distances on maps. I enjoyed doing it because I got to measure the four square to create the scale. Maybe next time I could use a different scale to make it.

Taonga

W.A.L.T... Describe what a Taonga is and identify resources that are a Taonga in Aotearoa. I enjoyed doing it because I go to learn more information about taonga and pounamu stone. Maybe next time I could add more slide to add more information about my work.

Decimals

W.A.L.T.. add and subtract numbers. I really enjoyed doing it because I got to learn more things about how to add and subtract decimals. Maybe next time I could add information that teach other how to borrow a number in subtraction decimal.

Scale

W.A.L.T. explore and use a scale to work out the distances. I enjoyed ding this because I didn't know about scales and I learnt heaps of information about it. Maybe next time I can add more examples about stated scale, ratio scale and linear scale.

Pouwhenua

W.A.L.T.. describe the cultural significance of a Pouwhenua and explain the history behind it. I really enjoyed making it because I got to learn a lot of things about Pouwhenua. Next time I can add more information and add more images to make it more stand out. 

 

Object Measurements

W.A.L.T. Calculate the area, perimeter and volume of different shapes. In room 6, we've been learning about calculating the area, volume and the perimeter of the shapes. We've been measuring things inside and outside of the classroom. I really enjoyed it because you have freedom of your choice choosing whatever you want to measure, and it was fun measuring it. Maybe next time I can add some things that I need to add on.

Is graffiti art or messy?

W.A.L.T. write a persuade writing about "Is Graffiti Art or Messy?" What I found hard was choosing which side am I writing about. What I found exciting was finding more information about Graffiti. Maybe next time I could add more information about Graffiti.

Is Graffiti Art or Messy?

In my opinion, I strongly believe that Graffiti is messy because it ruins the public walls and the city. Do you think that graffiti looks beautiful in our environment ? Well, let’s find out about it.

Firstly, graffiti is illegal, If you caught doing it you can go to prison on 10 years and damage cost more than $5,000, under the Criminal Damage act 1971. Some people saying graffiti is art, but, if you’re interested on graffiti and painting you can do it on paper or murals instead of public property. Then I would called it art. When you do something illegal it’s not artistics but if you do it in the real way it will be not illegal at all.

Some of the graffiti drawings on the wall is inappropriate and it ruins our optical city. Some of them ruins the public walls and private property too. Many people just angry and annoyed about it when there’s a graffiti in their private property. Sometimes they just ignored about it, but, it just makes the wall even more pointless.

Lastly, Removing the graffiti on the walls cost a lot of money, in fact on Western Australia. It Measures up to $30 million dollars for every year have been utilized as used the estimated cost of graffiti removal within the country. However as a general rule this figure is probably going to be terribly thought because of the trouble in acquiring a precise cost to a great extent to the idea of spray painting offenses, it's announcing and evacuation.

As the result, Graffiti is just messy. It looks pointless in our beautiful view and buildings. Do you want to go prison by scribbling stuff on the public or private walls instead of doing it on paper? Or do you want to ruined them your private property? That’s why stop doing graffiti on the public/private property. Make a change.

Freedom to achieve your dreams

WALT... Use words and pictures to convey our thoughts. I enjoyed doing this because I got to make my own quote and draw some stuff with shapes. Maybe next time I could make it more colourful and made the quote more interesting.  

Fractions of Amount

W.A.L.T.. solve fractions of amount by using multiplication and division. I enjoyed doing this because I got to answer the quiz by myself and not using calculator because it challenge myself to do what it takes. Maybe next time I could add more information and pictures.

Climate Change

W.A.L.T. understand that human actions are affecting our climate. I enjoyed doing this because I learned more facts about climate change and I've use Canva to present my presentation not always Google Slide. Maybe next time I could add more pictures on it.

In our class, we've been learning about mould. Then we did a fair test about it. We use bread to test our fair test. I enjoyed doing this because I got to work with 2 people and I got to see what the best place is for mould to grow.

The Man in the Mystery woods.

W.A.L.T. write two descriptive paragraph about what we can see in the picture below and we need to show not tell. I like doing this because when the reader read the words they can imagine what happening in the story. Maybe next time I could work on by adding more descriptive words.

In the woods of the middle of the night, the sound of the lightning thunder was shrieking. As the man was running like the peregrine falcon, to escape from the hunter. The branches and the trees was deafening to plummet. His heart was thumping and he was frightened. He was freezing because of the bitter howl of the wind.

As he hid in a cabin, he started to fell asleep. He woke up, and the sound of the rats was creepy and scary. He was exhausted and dirty. He sat down on the cold, dusty floor to think how can he go back on his home and find his family. After all he can’t go back anymore because all of the sudden he was trap and stuck on the mystery woods.

Biography: Anne Fank

W.A.L.T.  Identify and evaluate the writers purpose and ways which the writes use language and ideas to suit their purpose. In room 6, we've been making a biography about our favourite author. I choose Anne Frank because I like the way she wrote about many things in her diary during in world was II. What I found hard was finding her education because there were two of them but I don't know which first one that she went to. I enjoy doing this because I like about how I wrote a information about my favourite author and it was fun to make.

B.E.D.M.A.S. Games

Mould

W.A.L.T. Identify the structure of an explanation text and explore the language features of an explanation text. I enjoy doing this because I get to learn more about mould and I like to write about conclusion. Maybe next time I could make it more interesting.

Planning

How does mould grows?

Did you ever know how mould grows?. Well if you don’t know, keep reading this and it will tell you the answer.

Mould grows in the little tiny spores. Spore feed on dead animal or plant material, and they love to grow in warm place and wet environments. Spore can live for long time in condition that might commonly be compare bad for animals or plants to survive.  Fungi, algae, and even some bacteria all form spores when they want to pass their genes on. Think of them like seeds; they are made to grow a new plant and all they need is the proper environment to thrive.

When a spore lands onto favourable actual estate, it give out a slim hair-like tube called a hypha/hyphae. The hypha produce enzymes that break down to the chosen food. These enzymes are like those stomachs of animals, but, “Ingestion” take place outside the fungus. From mushrooms to shape, we experience organisms in a wide range of parts of our lives. Every one of them are made out of modest, padded strands called hyphae.

Finally, these hyphae shape form a crisscrossed mat that looks like a cobwebs. These strings are frequently white or cream hued and develop in long filaments called hyphae. This structure, all in all, is the vegetative structure of growths called mycelium .Mycelium is commonly found in soils and on other natural matter.

In spite of the fact that you may spot mycelia while burrowing through the soil or while separating a decaying stump. The fruiting body's essential capacity is to dispatch the people to come, as spores, out into the world. Spores that fall on good areas begin the procedure all once again once more.

In my Conclusion, moulds can grow everywhere in your house e.g. bathroom, kitchen and etc. By, controlling the mould growth in your house. You need to fix up the moisture problem, and clean up the mould. Mould are able to removed from hard surface with a commercial product e.g. soap and water, or bleach solution

Endangered Animals

W.A.L.T. explain about Endangered Animals and we can chose an Endangered Animal to research about it and I chose Cougar. I really like to do this because I get to learn more about endangered animals and I put it in my own words. Maybe next time I could make it more exciting.

The Holy Spirit

W.A.L.T.... Recognise the ways Te Wairua Tapu prepare's people to carry on the mission of the church. I enjoy doing this because I get to learn more about it and we can put arrow and pictures in it. Maybe Next time I could make more Amazing.

W.A.L.T. differentiate between Plant-like and Animal-like characteristics of mould. Mould is not a plant or animal. I enjoy doing this because I get to learn more about Moulds.

W.A.L.T write a stories about under the rug and we can't have death or dreams about the stories. I enjoy doing this because I like to write a stories about the rug and there's something under it. Maybe next time I could make it more exciting

One day, there’s a kid who always wants a old, scary, house for the Halloween house party, his name is Michael. But then two weeks later, he found one house, that’s no one’s wanted, but, people keep telling him that ‘DON’T GO IN THAT HOUSE, THERE’S A GHOST, AND THAT GHOST IS VERY CREEPY, HE CAN LIVE WITH YOU IN YOUR All ENTIRE LIFE, EVEN IF YOUR ARE DEAD. That time, he listen to what’s people saying about that house, because his friends believe on it too.

Two weeks past and that time it happened again, there’s 5 people died but, that time he never believe that there’s a ghost in that house, because he thinks it cools that in the Halloween house Party there’s a real ghost. Those 5 people didn’t believe that there’s a ghost in that house, and now they are dead, because they live on that house in 1 day, and now the ghost did something to them that make them died and He doesn’t know what happened but he thinks it’s not ghost who did it.

So, that time he went on on that house but he came there with a one friend. They open door and said “Any people here?” and they said again but with the big louder voice “ANYONE HERE?”. That time they don’t care because they think there’s no people inside. When they open door, it seems creepy, scary and haunted house. Then they sit on the one of the chair there to relax, but then it feel a little strange, they think it's a earthquake under his chair because the chair is shaking but when they stand up, they can’t feel it.  They move the chair out, and there’s something ‘UNDER THE RUG’ they said “what it could be? Is it a rat, a big spider or it might be, a ghost, they said it with a shocking face. That time they run as fast as they can to get out of that house. But then someone’s  closed the door, and all of the windows and all of the door that they can see, it’s closed.

That time they were shaking and shaking, and they said with the big, loud, hopeless, voice “Someone help us , Please let me and my friend get out of here”. They were punching the door, they were getting some cabinet and hit it on the door and all they do is getting some stuff and hit it on the door.

In that time the thing UNDER THE RUG kept following them and they can see a open door, and they ran as fast as they can, and the thing UNDER THE RUG keep chasing them, until they’re get outside and Michael can see the face of creature UNDER THE RUG, and that thing run away back inside but his friend didn’t see the face of creature under .

He ran home and he tell to his parents that what happen and his parents has a good news for him,.. and that is they're gong to live there. That time he shock, he said to himself "What if I can't sleep because of that rug?, What if they can kill my others sibling because of that thing?.....

The Clown and the fake map.

The Clown and the fake map.

One dark night, A clown went on the rugby stadium, and he found a secret map. The Clown follow the path on the map and where does the path leads on, until, he found himself on the picture theatre. He was trying to get inside of the Picture theatre and get the thing that was on the map. He never know that there was a trap under his foot that really, really, make him scream louder and the police officer can heard it because the picture theatre and the police station is near each other. Then the clown kick the door of the Picture theatre and he say “Oh, it’s easy to open the door, now I will going to get the” BOOM!!! The trap went on, THE CLOWN SCREAM LOUDER AND LOUDER !! because the trap is really painful, it was a big injection on his foot. The Police Officer went on the picture theatre and finding who’s screaming and it was the clown he was getting the thing that was inside the Picture theatre, but now it was look like a picture theatre but when you go inside it’s full of old, stinky, disgusting rubbish bin. He never know the the map is fake and it leads him on the old, stinky, disgusting rubbish bin. The other clown was the one who did it and the Clown get arrested by waking up all the other neighbours in the middle of the night.

Enjoyable Holidays

On the 27th of April, We went to North land for a Swim. It was the second time that I went there. That was fun because I use to practice swimming. I went with my mum, my two sister, mum’s friends and their daughters. We had to Swimming for 30 minutes, because after swimming, we’re going to New Brighton, beach.

So we went to North land to the palms, and to the palms to New Brighton beach, because there’s no bus to ride to go in the New Brighton beach. When we got on New Brighton, we went to save mart for shopping. After that,  we went on the Coupland to buy some pies, donut, and hot chocolate for lunch. We ate our lunch on the beach and while we’re eating, we watch the big waves coming onto the sea. We went on the big bridge on the New Brighton beach, and we take some pictures.

As soon as we’re finish on the New Brighton beach. We went on the Palms to buy something that we need at school, so me and my sister teachers wouldn’t be angry at us, that we have our all school supplies to brought at school.

Personal Comment:

I felt beatific because we get to spend time with our families. But, sometimes some of you parents has work and you don’t have time to spent with them, but you can still can spend time with your rest of your families. It’s pleasurable to spend time with your families and friends.

Novel study

W.A.L.T. write how the main character change in the our Novel Study. I like doing this because it makes me to  find out how their change their feelings.

Emma Jack (EJ12) by: Susannah Mcfarlane

Emma Jack as EJ12 was a netball player and a secret agent. At chapter one, they have a practice for netball because there teacher is going to choose who’s gonna be the strongest team in the school, she is the goal shooter and she’s really good at netball, but Laila and Naima is keep blocking Emma to shoot a goal like, scratching her, pushing her and do something mean to her. She thinks she’s hopeless, but her friend said that “You’re really good at netball and our teacher can see what Laila and Naima’s doing”. Then one day her family are going to Africa, it’s a little bit strange, but when they were in the Airport, Emma find out that going to Africa is just a cover because she had a secret mission. At the start of the Mission she feel a little bit nervous, but then she feel more stronger that she had when she shoot many goals on netball. She doesn’t give up, she always trying her best that she can accomplished her secret mission, and…..she did. When they were back at school which is her hometown, she was very happy because she’ one of the strongest team in the school.

Order of Operations

Sam the Soldier

W.A.L.T. Write a flashback from a different perspective and show not tell. 

I enjoy doing this because we need to imagine what does like in world war 1. I have been writing about a person called Sam in the story called "The Anzac Puppy". I enjoyed doing it because it's based on a real history. The story was written by Peter Millet and illustrated by Trish Bowels .

It was a cold, freezing, Morning and It was the time for the enemies to fight. But before I go, I will bring my dog called Freda. She’s my friend but I’d found her outside in the box in Lucy’s house, and I will bring her back when the fight is over. My friends can’t believe that I will bring a dog in a war. But she’s my friend and I promised to Lucy that I’ll bring her back safe. But each time on the war, one of my friend died, and died, and died, until they are all gone. That time it was really sad but I have one left and it was Freda the dog. When we came back home, we were safe and Lucy was happy because she now could see her dog. Lucy knew that Freda had changed she is so big, tall and cute. Lucy and I have a feelings towards each other and we got married.
